Well I took Daisy to the vet this morning as she was acting odd and her eyes were weeping. So after $250 she has no fleas, no heart worms , no ear mites got a rabies shot and an eye exam. Her eyes are deteriorating and she is going blind. So Ginger and Nutmeg will have to be her seeing eye dogs. We will have to adjust as will she. But she is still full of love as most rescue dogs are.
Well it took a year and a different bike but we made it. Kathy ordered a helmet off the internet from JP Cycles and we took a couple of short rides. It will be awhile before we do anything over 20 miles but baby steps.
We had a god Christmas albeit small. We stayed here in Acworth and had Christmas Eve dinner and gifts with Kathy's kids and grand-kids. Christmas Day Kathy and I spent together at home enjoying one another.
Kathy got a wonderful 11 x 14 framed picture of her children and grands.
I have been on two missions. A WWII Navy veteran and a Marine who was KIA Oct 13.
At LCPL Scott Harper's funeral besides the overwhelming support of the community there was over 300 motorcycles of the Patriot Guard, American Legion Riders and 3 Christian Motorcycle Clubs. The highway from the funeral home to the church , about 5 miles was lined with people waving flags and showing their respect.
Patriot Guard Ridersis a diverse amalgamation of riders from across the nation. We have one thing in common besides motorcycles. We have an unwavering respect for those who risk their very lives for America’s freedom and security. If you share this respect, please join us.

Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.
Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protesters.
Picked up this 1996 Suzuki Intruder 800 yesterday. Hoping the 50+mpg will help cut my costs. The geomobile gets 18 mph on a good day with a tailwind. The 85 mile round trip commute is getting costly as gas increases.
I have to come up with a name. Thinking La Burra , a female burro lol.
We both took a Friday off and drove up to the GA NC mountains. We visited the Great Smokie Mountain National Forest. We had a little hike and did some caches and had a good time.
